Todd Kummer, UNA-USA Dane County
President, welcomes luncheon guests

Our October 23rd luncheon was a time to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.

Our speaker, Carla M. Bury, Multilateral Affairs Coordinator in the State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (G/TIP). It is estimated that 27 million people throughout the world live in some form of slavery – more than at the height of legal slavery. Carla spoke about new trends and initiatives to understand and combat human slavery.
