DescriptionOpening night reception November 11, 2011, 5:00 pm. The artist, Janet Essley will be present and the reception will be followed at 7:00 pm by a screening of “Made in LA,” the story of Latina immigrants working in Los Angeles garment sweatshops. The Women’s Issues Committee of the City of Madison hosts a traveling art exhibition on “Women, Labor and Compassion.” This exhibit consists of 18 beautiful and thought-provoking paintings of female workers around the world by artist Janet Essley. UNA Dane County is the sponsor of one of the painting for the exhibit. Venue
