Our own Majid Sarmadi, UNA-Dane board member and UW School of Human Ecology faculty member, will speak on themes of sustainability, beginning at about 5:15pm. Majid was recently honored for his leadership in two important realms: for his work on a special advisory committee of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and for his contributions in developing green options in the context of the UN's Declaration of 2009 as the International Year of Natural Fibers.
