UW and Edgewood College Students and the United Nations
Anderson Auditorium, Predolin Hall
Edgewood College, 1000 Edgewood Drive, Madison
(Free parking in outside lot or in parking ramp)
Do you remember how you first became interested in the United Nations? Were you in high school, college/university, serving in the Peace Corps or something else? Which ever it was, it probably left an impression of hope that a world body could make an important contribution to a better world.
The May 10th Dane County UNA-USA will focus on university/college students in Madison who are interested in the United Nations and are active in campus programs. The UW and Edgewood College students active in the campus Model UN programs will speak about what the respective programs do and the recent Model UN competition with universities from around the country in Chicago.
Representatives from the UW Millennium Development Goals Awareness Project will speak about their involvement in the project and what they do on and off campus to inform the campus and Madison community about the Millennium Development Goals.
The May meeting will be an opportunity for UNA members to connect with future leaders who embrace the mission and goals of the United Nations. We will have speakers from:
UW-Madison Model UN Program
Edgewood College Model UN Program
UW Millennium Development Goals Awareness Project
Edgewood College Model UN group at the April competition in Chicago.
